Flower power in Kings Park

Whether or not you’re planning to head out to the regions this Spring to see the wildflowers in bloom, the Kings Park Festival which runs throughout September is not to be missed. This fabulous event is a feast for the senses, a chance to experience the spectacle of tens of thousands of beautiful flowering wildflowers.

Kings Park has some 3000 plant species from all over Western Australia. An army of passionate horticulturists and volunteers work behind the scenes to bring you this annual extravaganza which was first held in 1964.

The Festival is delivered by a diverse team which includes Kings Park staff, volunteers from the Friends of Kings Park, Kings Park Volunteer Guides, Kings Park Master Gardeners and the Friends of Bold Park Bushland, and is supported by Lotterywest.

There will be dozens of free and fabulous events, outdoor exhibitions, guided walks and talks, photography displays, family activities and more.
